Success comes with consistency,
Consistency means repetition of particular tasks,
Repetition leads to habit formation.
In a nutshell, success is dependent on habit formation.
We all have a standard routine from waking up in the morning, getting freshen up, having morning tea or coffee, going to the office, having lunch and so on. And we don’t have to remember to follow this pattern because our sub-conscious mind is hard wired with these activities when we repeat them on a daily basis.
Similarly, in our lives, when we are desirous to fulfill our goals, we write them down and figure out the ways to achieve them. But to achieve them we need to invest time which is the most critical part of our lives. In spite of being a servant of technology, we tend to lose track of time.
Thus our goals get postponed and we ourselves postpone our success. And finally, end up saying that it’s not our cup of tea or it’s impossible.
But if we understand the positioning of small habits in our daily routine, we can surely say that Impossible itself says “I’m Possible”
To share my personal life experience, I took a challenge to read one book per week but by default, it’s not possible always to be consistent. So I decided to listen to audiobooks. To listen I don’t have to take out a specific time rather I can do it when I go for a walk when I am cooking when I am driving etc. I added this as my morning ritual and now it’s been two years that I am consistently listening to an audiobook with ease every week.
“Small changes can make a big difference.”
The following reasons convince me always: –
1. Don’t set big habits, start with small ones.
If you look into the autobiographies of successful and influential people around the globe, you will find a common difference that they all follow tits bits of habits and fix them in their life routine. Changing a habit can change the complete direction of your life. Even though a small change looks like an ocean in the drop but the importance of a drop is appreciated by the one who is thirsty. If you have the thirst to fly high in your aspirations, be ready for small changes to have a big impact on life.
2. Be consistent in your habits: –
Any system in this world is successful only when it’s consistent. If you look at the school system, there is a consistency in the schedule for each subject. Though the curriculum looks huge by following a small portion of it every day, it’s easily covered.
Tony Robbins said, “It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently.
3. Review them regularly
If we keep on doing any activity or task in life without measuring its impact it would be directionless. It’s very important to measure them regularly. First measuring it gives you self-motivation because you look yourself coming close to your goals. Secondly, with the course of time, you can improvise and fix the changes that are required by joining the dots of your experiences.
4. Celebrate small achievements: –
When was the last time you jumped in joy when you received an appreciation email from your boss, or someone called up and said: “Thank you for your love and support”?
These things look small but their effect on our mind and soul is powerful.
Whenever in life you achieve something, small or big, don’t wait for the others to congratulate you or appreciate you, be the first one to embrace yourself and celebrate it.
When you celebrate, endorphins are released inside your body and you feel incredible.
5. Learn from your mistakes: –
The first rule in a mistake is to accept it, admit it and realize it.
The second rule is to review it that what happened wrong.
And the final rule is not to cry over it, rather pen it down along with the reason that why it happened. Once you pen it down, you promise yourself not to repeat it.
Slowly and steadily when you keep learning these life amazing secrets from your own mistakes, success is guaranteed.
So don’t try to find time for your dreams and desire, just give them some space in your daily routines and make a winning routine to win this battle of life and live your purpose.
Every drop in the ocean counts, so will your small habits count and be a miracle.
Are you ready to have miracles in your life?
